Hello again!
I have recently purchased a new camera lens!! It was my first time buying one that wasn't my kit lens that came with my camera. I was a little nervous because I wanted it to be a good one (it was bought online at Amazon) and I was hoping it was the right one to fit my needs.
I think it was a perfect match! There are still other lenses and accessories I hope to purchase (hopefully before shooting my first wedding this summer--EEK!). Though, for now I am so excited to be able to utilize these new buys. I am so excited to try out this new lens that has been highly recommended on a lot of photography forums.
I purchased the Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 STM.
Pictured above.
It has a wide aperture, fast focusing, and is real sharp for me so far. I think we will get along nicely. My next purchase might be the other highly recommended (especially for weddings) Canon 24-70mm f/2.8.
But for now, here's to conquering this lens. I have been learning so much and really growing my camera tools and accessories to achieve the best photos. I also recently bought an on-camera speed-light also pictured above. It will come in handy for those dark scenes like wedding receptions.
Below are two test shots I did in good and poor lighting the first night I had my lens because I was jut too excited not to use it already!
I love that background blur I am able to achieve with this lens that will be perfect for portrait shoots.
Here's to the rest of the journey.
God Bless you all on this wonderful Friday, where I am enjoying my day off.
