Crystal and Dylan

The perfect day at the perfect location! Riverdale Manor in Lancaster, Pa.

This is one of my first trips to Lancaster. As a small town driver who hails from a town with not a single stop light, I was so excited to travel for this adventure but was quite nervous of what the journey would bring. Thankfully, I was able to have a side kick --family member and gal pal Stacy to be my driving partner and assistant for the day. The traveling was easy and fun. We set out early on the three hour car ride that would all be worth it for the sweet Crystal and Dylan who I knew would be so lovely to work with--it is here on the morning of their wedding I would finally meet them and couldn't wait to capture it all for them. What a fantastic memory this was! The weather this 15th day of September was a perfect fall mix of sunshine, warmth, clouds and leaves.

The details and fall colors together were stunning!

Before we had arrived I had worked closely with the Manor's event supervisor Sierra who was helpful and lovely. She checked in with me as soon as I arrived and gave us the layout of the land and showed us where Crystal and her bridesmaids were getting ready. Everyone was so helpful, inviting, full of smiles--so much joy in the air! I couldn't wait to capture it all.

Crystal's details were perfect. She had everything planned out to the T'. All the colors meshed perfectly and it looked like a fall dream. Riverdale Manor was full of light and neutrals, fit to provide for any couple's settings and was a 'light and airy' dream to photograph.

There were so many different rooms to utilize and find treasures in each one. I quickly gathered Crystal's details, jewelry and dress and photographed it forever in time. There was much to play with from a creative standpoint and it was all gorgeous.

Crystal and Dylan even thought of the many kids that would be in attendance, giving them some fun at their tables to do.

The bride was surrounded by her mother, family and close gal friends...and niece and nephew. It was sure a family affair which was beautiful to see. They showered her with love and support.

Hair and makeup were beautifully done by Chasity Gray from Hair Happenings.

I quickly switched between the gals and the guys who helped each other look their absolute best--what handsome fellas.

Groom Dylan was so great to work with and didn't make a fuss even though I could tell being sole model in front of the camera was not his most comfortable scenario. You did amazing and looked sharp. It was some fun moments posing you all and seeing the relationships between you all. Many laughs were made at expense of Dustin, Crystal's brother and his size to Dylan -he was in on the joke.

Mother of the groom Tammy placed all the boutonnieres.

Forever watching over her son with admiration.

Hair and makeup complete, every button done-up, boutonnieres pinned, jewelry in place all from the help of family. It was time for the ceremony to begin! The timeline was right on track. The location and all bridal party members were ready and perfected for this moment.

Stunning bride and handsome groom!

The ceremony was special, full of heart, romance, commitment. There were many teary eyes, including that of Dylan as he saw his beautiful bride come down the aisle. Parents looked on in admiration and joy. Excitement was in the air. There were laughs and smiles and only good things and Crystal and Dylan agreed to put one another first for life. They had declared their love to one another and all in attendance! Congratulations to the new Mr. and Mrs. Failor!

After the ceremony, the bridal party and family was invited to a special room holding refreshments which was a welcomed waiting area while we took family portraits with different members.

Party time at the reception! Delicious food! Dancing, the couple's first dance, laughter and fun from young and old. Family and friends bonding. The DJ Tom Brink busting out the tunes.

The couple played the shoe game during the reception...each holding up a shoe from the bride and groom and was asked a series of questions and they each would hold up the shoe of themselves or their partner based on the question without knowing what the other is saying. "Who is in control of the tv remote?" "Who takes the longest to get ready?" "Who said 'I love you first?"

The crowd looked on and laughed.

The couple danced to their first song as husband and wife to "I Won't Give Up" by Jason Mraz.

The speeches were given by bridesmaid Virginia and groomsmen Luke. Memories with the bride and groom were heartfully shared through tears and laughter.

Twilight dessert table was set up as the sun set and the cake was cut. Those in attendance could enjoy a plethora of desserts and coffee arranged and fully set up by the Manor's amazing staff who worked all day and evening to make the day perfect. More photos together were shared intimately among the group of friends on the dock available close to the water and every one in attendance got to take a succulent home as their wedding favor, it was so thoughtful. That's who Crystal and Dylan are...kind, cute, serving. Wishing you all the best and many congratulations! It was truly a pleasure for myself and my assistant Stacy in which each of us was also sent home with a succulent plant. It was a memorable day...and not just because it was the wedding event I took part in the day before I left for Montana with my boyfriend who on that trip would become my fiancé! Failor's you were so welcoming and so fun, I truly appreciate being a part of your day and hope blessings for years to come!

Sincerely,
